I just finished reading The Common Path to Uncommon Success by John Lee Dumas and it really packs a punch!!!
This well-thought-out book is a 17-step roadmap to financial freedom and fulfillment. If you have been trying to start something and you aren’t too sure how to go about it, this is a comprehensive look at starting the right way and following through for each step!
From the start, you are really put in the right mindset of becoming a person of value, not just focusing on success. This is so important on the road to uncommon success and I really appreciated the fact that he starts off with that statement. Too many people are concerned with becoming successful and don’t really think about being a person of value.
The first steps he goes through start out with getting you to identify your big idea and discovering your niche. As I have learned, you really can’t niche down too much. If it’s for everyone, it’s for no one!!!!!
John Lee Dumas then goes through steps for which medium you want to use, (written, audio, video).
Then some of the steps take you through your content and launching your product, also figuring out your customer’s biggest struggle.
The attributes I really like in this book are the steps he takes you through, and if you follow these steps, you really will be on your path to bringing value to others and creating your own success….whatever that may be for you!
I have read many books on creating your business and brand, and this really is comprehensive…he really didn’t leave anything out.
My favorite part of the book comes at the end…the “Wealth of Knowledge” section. This is pure genius…for when you need a quick reminder as you start to question yourself!!! He has some great nuggets of wisdom and then also highlights other people’s knowledge quotes.
This book is a great resource for anyone who wants to keep a roadmap by their side…John Lee Dumas has been interviewing thousands of entrepreneurs and has really put together a great book to keep you on-track! I would highly recommend this for anyone starting out or just hitting the reset button!
